What is SentinelOne anti virus, and why is it better than traditional (unmanaged) anti virus products?

 Unlike traditional anti virus products that rely mainly on virus signature definition files (lists of known, confirmed, virus fingerprints), SentinelOne uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to analyse the behaviour of every executable file or process running on your computer, so that it can detect anything acting suspiciously. 

This approach enables it to identify, kill, and quarantine, new and previously unseen viruses, malware, & ransomware, that other anti virus products often fail to detect. 

 But SentinelOne doesn't stop there. I also have a team of cyber security experts (Alex, Charles and Andy) in my UK based Security Operations Centre (SOC), who monitor and analyse every single threat or suspicious activity that SentinelOne blocks and quarantines on your computer. 

And if necessary, they will remotely take further action to ensure your computer is kept safe and secure. 

Typically, this human double-checking and analysis occurs within a few minutes of SentinelOne blocking and quarantining the suspected threat. 

This combination of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning to detect the threats, and the human analysis and response to the threat after it’s been quarantined, makes SentinelOne an extremely powerful Anti Virus solution, capable of protecting your computer from the most sophisticated cyber attacks.
